A Lesson From the Dalai Lama
I was blessed to have the honor of learning a teaching on the Heart Sutra from the Dalai Lama. The Heart Sutra chant is for the awakening of the heart of wisdom. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama said, "The existence of things and events is not in dispute; it is the manner in which they exist that must be clarified." Put in another way..."The things that we experience is not real -- it is the meaning that we give it that makes it real for us." Once we let go of separation and operate from love instead of fear, the challenges we face in everyday life hold a different meaning for us. It is a wonderful learning as we go through different trials in our lives that may seem unbearable or impossible to overcome -- it is a reminder that the we have tools to support us -- this one is a calling to change our perception and everything else along with a solution changes with it.
